Life Unlocked Occupational Therapy was born from the rising need in the Mackay and surrounding areas for more occupational therapy services to support it’s local community. Thus Life Unlocked came to fruition. The vision for Life Unlocked is to support individuals of all ages and stages of life, to live their lives to their fullest potential, while participating and engaging in all that is fulfilling and meaningful to them. HOME MODIFICATION ASSESSMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
At Life Unlocked Occupational Therapy, we provide you with a thorough assessment of your current home environment, identify barriers, and provide recommendations to support you in creating a home that works for you and your unique situation and needs. We assess your home as a whole or specific areas of concern to help you navigate the pathway to creating a home environment you can thrive in.
PAEDIATRIC THERAPY
From baby and toddler through to adolescence, Life Unlocked will support your child to reach their goals through consistent evidence based therapy and offer support to families and care givers for a wholistic approach. We strive to make things hassle-free and convenient through our mobile service, where our therapists travel to you at your home, to schools, daycares and kindergarten facilities. Mobile services offer benefits such as observing and working with children and teens in the specific environment that they are having challenges within, and working towards bridging the gaps to ensure success in whatever environment their main occupations are.

At Life Unlocked OT, we can assess your individual needs and circumstances to provide you with assistive technology and equipment to best support you in your every day life and to ensure you can reach your goals and enjoy your life to its full potential.

We offer a range of standardised assessments for all ages and requirements to create evidence based goals and therapy solutions. MEET THE TEAM
LAUREN PEADY
Founder and Occupational Therapist
Lauren has been working as an Occupational Therapist in the Mackay Region since 2017. Lauren's background is working in Paediatrics where she has spent the past 6 years learning and growing her knowledge and passion for ASD, ADHD, Developmental Delay, school success, motor skill delays and challenges amongst many other facets of paediatric OT. As a busy mum of 4, this has enabled Lauren to truly connect with families, parents and caregivers, and offer sincere understanding in their concerns, and celebrate their triumphs and progress.
In 2020 while on maternity leave, Lauren branched out into the world of adult therapy where she has worked with adults with varying conditions and disabilities. Lauren has experience in equipment prescription, home assessments and modifications, functional capacity assessments, observational assessments in a variety of settings (both home and within the community) and is competent and knowledgeable with navigating the NDIS to support clients to use their funding to its potential to create a fulfilling life they love.
Lauren's biggest joy in her OT role is seeing her clients achieve their goals and create a life full of meaningful occupations.
